Michele sent photo updates of the baby wild turkeys. She claims to have seen them fly, and it does look like they have fully feathered wings, but I am a bit skeptical. My niece Tatum, who is six for another month, took the picture of the brood crossing the street all in a row.

Great Pictures!!! I can't believe how big the 'little ones' have gotten. Tatum, you took the BEST PICTURE. Keep it up.

I think I may have more pictures of these baby turkeys than I do of my girls when they were little. They do in fact fly. They flew in for breakfast this morning after one of the babies almost got hit by a car. The ones that followed were smart enough to use their wings so they could soar above the speeding vehicles. Kevin and I just discussed this morning the idea of moving our bird feeder to our side yard so they don't have to be so close to the street.
Anyways, an interesting development...a second mother with her babies joined the feeding frenzy this morning. I have many pictures taken from the roof of my garage that I will forward on to you and you can post.

Are the new babies the same age as the first babies?
