Perhaps we aught to bring another species into this conversation beyond dogs, birds and rodents... However, I do have new dogs and birds (without rodents) for the next two days' posts. Polo ponies and people on Monday!

On this morning's walk, a huge deer stepped right in Trotter's path...they looked at one another the deer turned and sprinted off...I wonder what these animals say to one another?
Odd, he won't bark at another Labrador, but Terriers, forget it.

A Lab's occupation on this earth is to persuade all those he meets (humans and animals) to love them (even the UPS guy:)). I know that Trotter would be protective of Dudley.
